What do you think...? New York has THE best collection of vintage bikes on the street scene because:
1) There are more bikes on the street than other cities since people have small apts and live in 6th floor walk-ups(even though i had a studio and a 4th fl. walkup, i sometimes had TWO bikes in there. you helped me move into that flat).
2) people are afraid a NEW bike will get stolen, and they do(I've had several stolen from me, new and old).
3) New York has a massive eclectic international population and would recognize an otherwise unknown brand at a flea mkt.
Philly, DC, SF, LA, Bos, Sea, Por ain't got nuthin on New York when it comes to rep'ing vintage badges on the street scene...
Couldn't speak for Tokyo, London or Paris doh...

ah crap I had the same idea for a post. now i'm going to have to settle for "pictures of bicycle front wheels after the owner just locked the front wheel and didn't bother to lock the rest of the bike" pics.
