I've a yellow one for sale in Alberta, Canada. RHD import from Australia - not sure if that's legal in your parts.

Great pair of posts. I owned a '74 Thing, and my dad has owned his 1967 Land Cruiser pickup since the early 70's. It's a little beat up, but he still uses it regularly to haul and maul.

you keep posting the cars of my childhood and i seriously can't handle the nostalgia. our family '78 green and white monster of the "passenger and cargo carrier" variety towed many a wagoneer and suburban out of the rocky mountains (also the occasional RV) with neil diamond blaring on the speakers and the world's smartest cocker spaniel hanging his head out of the window.

thanks for the ride down memory lane.

the thing, the land cruiser, throw in a bmw 2002 or volvo p1800, and you've got 4 of my favorites.

quality stuff.

Awesome post. I'm a huge fan - one day I will restore a late-80s model:

Friday pulling out of the office, I pulled right up next to a cherry red FJ40. My best guess is a mid-60's. Nice.
