The Fall Three: Max Wastler, All Plaidout.

With Fall beginning to take hold, I've enlisted a number of comrades to give me three things, whatever they may be, that they're stoked on for Fall. It's Fall stoke. And you can't fight the stoke. It's The Fall Three.
First up in the series, and very appropriately, is one of the first guys I met after doing Secret Forts for a little while; Max Wastler of the ever-popular All Plaidout. Truly an all around great guy and great friend, he and I met through mutual friends while previewing Apolis Activism's A/W09 Collection back in February of '09. He was the only guy in the room who could tie a bow tie. I found that quite impressive.
Max always has an unique, fresh and unexpected perspective and with All Plaidout, continues to be a singular voice among the din. With pleasure, I present Max Wastler's Fall Three.

Into Right Now: A New York State of Mind.

Always on point, SUPREME ushers in the coming heat with some serious heat of their own. SS10 is full of striped pocket tees, more Zip Zingers (a particular fellow blogger should be especially stoked on those pictured), Ripstop Crushers, chino workshorts, clean s/s oxfords, dope outwear(as usual) and you know I love the nunchucks.
Looking forward to cruising the city streets this summer on one of those decks. If there'r even any left. Get over to Lafayette st. or N. Fairfax while the gettin's still good.

A couple things...

I don't write much but...Raan and Shea Parton, 2 of the 3 brothers behind the label/cause Apolis Activism, were kind enough to invite me for a visit to the Gitman showroom for an informal viewing of their AW '09 collection. And after having obsessed over the styling and general right on-ness in the look book Raan had emailed me, I must say that these are clothes that are meant to be touched and felt and worn. They are that good. I can't say enough about these guys and what they're doing. Plus I got a chance to take a good look at the Apolis/Filson/Invisable Children briefcase. (Perfect)
Also there, it was my pleasure to meet Ryan Huber, co-owner of Context in Madison, WI, Marie Havens of Invisible Children(partners with Apolis on a number of various pieces/projects) and Max, the man behind All Plaidout. (check out his recent post on "The Brothers Parton").
It was a real pleasure. A big thanks to Raan and Shea for the invitation and chance to meet everyone.
