Moving Pictures: The Illusionist.


As a huge fan of both Jacques Tati and The Triplets of Belleville, The Illusionist is at the top of my holiday movies list. Based on a 40 year old script by Tati. Opens in LA and NY December 25th.

Thank you for posting this--AMAZING. I was not familiar with Tati's work. Animation as High Art, for sure.

Tati and cartoons, makes so much sense! wish i had the opportunity to attend some of those screenings at moma last winter.
