Great post. Any idea who makes the dark brown longwings about 3/4 down the page (sockless with rolled jeans)?

Yes, all correct here. I wish I could find the Yuketen dirty bucks somewhere. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

As usual you've nailed the atmosphere right to the wall. These pictures in this order make me imagine so much great stuff.

What do you think of Double S?

I'm visiting both Big Sur next month and I think this was the best post to get me excited.

I got my haircut yesterday and showed 'em the picture of Kerouac with arms crossed. Didn't work on account of it was a SuperCuts, but I tried.

Then I showed the picture of Paul Newman w/abs popping to my girlfriend. She's not speaking to me until I look like that. Gonna be a quiet summer.

did JJJOUND just breed with LIFE magazines archives while J crew's F/W preview recorded it?

This is wonderful. I especially love the Long Island and Montauk images. I'm from there, so this makes me miss it there more than I already do.

Stellar inspiration photos, esp. love the single canoe, hammock, and corn on the cob/clams shot.

You nailed this approach to a style guide. Kudos, I'd recomend this to anyone in search of inspiration.

Greetings from Nashville! This post is amazing. Who makes the grey shoes about 20 or so pics in? Sea-? Also that blue striped button-up shirt halfway down. The image is called saturdays1. Thanks so much, and keep up the good work.

james said...

Shane, thank you so much. Very rad.
Brooks, those are SeaVees 09/65 Bayside mocs. And the striped button down is by Surf Saturdays. They are a small shop on Crosby st. in the city that've just put out their first collection. Really good lookin stuff and a great shop. Thanks for coming by Secret Forts.
