The Map: Imogene + Willie, Nashville, TN.





















It's always a pleasure to return to my home town and discover something new.
recently opened, Imogene + Willie is a wonderfully appointed little shop in a former filling station on 12th ave. south.
Having done the washing for Rogan at their facilities in Henderson, KY for some time, Matt and Carrie Eddmenson know denim. Their new shop stocks a few well chosen labels like RRL, A.P.C and of course Rogan, a choice selection of vintage, as well as their own denim line for him and her. 11 oz. Cone Mill selvedge denim cut handsomely for him. Chambray skirts for her as well as chambray work shirts and more to come for Fall. And it's all sewn in house, in the other half of the shop.
I made mention of Matt's bike, an affinity for fixed gears being something we evidently hold in common, which lead to him turning me onto another new Nashville gem nearby (more to come on that).
If you're in the neighborhood, ride over and say hey. And just try not to leave with something. Old or new.

    Looks like a great little shop with equally matched product. The re-use of an old gas station is such an awesome find. Hope to be able to check it out in person one day. Thank you for the heads up and generous amount of images.

    Thank God something like this opened in Nashville. I always thought that gas station on 12th could be used for something cool. Great neighborhood too.
